Is this the end of south-facing glazing?

I’ve a passion for Other and keep looking for information on it. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ’selfbuild houses’ in Google and found this:

… otton are currently working with the architects, Sheppard Robson, to produce a catalogue of different house types aimed at the selfbuilder….At this level of insulation, the windows actually work to stop heat getting in through them and you would anticipate that they would help stop the house overheating i n summer. … Kingspan, the acquisitive Irish insulation manufacturer behind the project, have recently purchased Potton Homes, our leading selfbuild package home supplier, and P…

Blog review: 127a Church Street

People are always asking me to blog more often, well here i go, I searched for some information on ’selfbuild project’.

Im continuing my search for real, live blogs about self-building, but its hard to find ones that are still being updated. A Selfbuild Experience hasnt been updated since September 2006, and Wicklow Self Build Project has just three posts, last one in October 2007. Self Build Ireland stopped in December 2007 after a three year run, and although Architects Self Build Eco House posted last month, it looks like its winding down given that theyve now moved in. I suspect the archives of these

Guitar Hero For Wii Owners Are Furiously Angry At Having To Mail Their Discs To Activision [Sisyphus]

I’ve a passion for Other and keep looking for good articles. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ‘make your own dvd’ in Google and found this:

We’ve been getting a lot of emails lately about Activision and their requirement that people who purchased their defective game send it back and wait a month in order to receive a replacement. Some examples: I got a mailer from Activision and they said to send in your original gameand wait 3-4 weeks for a replacement DVD. I called the 800 number and got nowhere. I was told there was no other option. I offered to let them bill my credit card in case I never sent the DVD back. It seems silly

DJ Harvey Interview

My interview with veteran DJ Harvey, who revitalized the art of the edit with his crucial Black Cock Edits in the early 90s, may’ve been the heaviest casualty of the SPIN space crunch. As the man is an original punk rocker, many cans of worms were opened about punk/ disco that simply could not be addressed in the piece. So, is there a disco revival? It never went away, mate. It never went away, it never stopped. People become a little more aware, but it never went anywhere. Its much bigger an

Learning Lessons

I’ve a passion for Other and keep looking for information on it. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ‘make your own southpark character’ in Google and found this:

I learned a lesson the hard way this week. As a young child, I was bullied. I was bullied hard. My mother was the special education teacher for the school and the kids would tease me and tell me that I belonged in her class. I was called ugly, retard, useless and any imaginable name you can imagine. I even got a note in my lunch one day telling me that life would be better for everyone if I was murdered with the woman that had been murdered in our community that week. I was in the 5th grade and

Obama, Knight and the implicit racism of US media

If you read nothing else today, then read this NYT column by Frank Rich. He begins with the obsessive attention the US media have paid to Barack Obamas now-terminated devotion to a screwball black preacher. Then he draws our attention to this: i.e. a white (note colour) screwball preacher comparing the Catholic church (the Whore of Babylon) to Hitler. Whats interesting about this? Well, Mr. Hagee is not a fringe kook but the pastor of a Texas megachurch. On Feb. 27, he stood with J

Dog Days of Summer- Filmed in Edenton

Last night I used Technorati to find more information on ‘make your own beats’ so I could post it into ‘Selfbuild kits’. And this is one of the many results I found:

It’s not the bully who takes up half the street and watches for a chance to beat you up. … It’s the priest who works with the poor and relives his own poverty by drinking….Faith that limits itself to dogma can’t be squeezed tightly; faith that finds a narrator moves, beats, runs, sacrifices. … Is this necessary to tell the story because it redeems the cobwebs that Phil goes back to make sense of? To get one for vanilla shake?…
