I’ve a passion for Other and keep looking for information on it. Today, I checked if I could find more info by entering ’selfbuild and design’ in Google and found this:
The average Briton looking to make their home carbon neutral could spend more than 9,000 pounds in the process, according to the latest research, leading to some needing home loans or low rate loans to realise their environmentally-friendly vision. Alliance & Leicester has said that for a three-bedroom, semi-detached home, following the carbon neutral route can be expensive, but added that such a switch could lead to big savings on bills in the long-run. Cavity wall insulation, loft insul
I tried several more searches on ’selfbuild and design’ but after some time I got lazy, gave up and posted this entry to ‘Selfbuild forum’. Still, I think it was an interesting time.

I made my second visit to Upton this week. For those of you not in the know, Upton is the new Poundbury. Sort of. Its an urban extension (fancy modern term for a housing estate), tacked onto the edge of Northampton, and its full of weird and wonderful homes. I was there as part of a Princes Foundation seminar group and the guiding hand of this group is evidenced all over the development, though its much more diverse than Poundbury. Although at first glance it looks all very traditional, there

I wouldn’t want to give the impression that the build is being funded entirely by Northern Rock shares, but let’s just say that the whole house ventilation system has gone for a burton. And, it’s suddenly struck me, we have the biggest, most costly veluxes specified which not only cost the most (obviously) but push up the roof construction costs by being wider than the SIP panels I want to use, therefore necessitating all sorts of extra structural gubbins (hey, I’m still trying to get my head

Today I was digging for some info on ’selfbuild show’ and came across the following paragraph:
